Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about launching peptide, GLP-1, TRT, and HRT programs with Karpa Health.

Platform

What is Karpa Health?
Karpa Health is a turn-key platform that enables clinicians and non-clinicians to launch and manage cash-pay telehealth programs including peptide therapy, GLP-1 weight loss, TRT, and HRT in all 50 states. The platform handles patient intake, AI-powered clinical review, prescribing through Karpa's licensed provider network, compounding pharmacy integration, and fulfillment. No medical license is required from you.
How does Karpa work?
Patients complete a branded intake form hosted on your domain. Karpa's AI reviews each case, flags contraindications, and prepares a clinical summary. A licensed provider from Karpa's 50-state network reviews and approves the prescription, which is sent directly to an integrated compounding pharmacy for fulfillment. If you are a licensed provider yourself, you can choose to prescribe directly. You set your own pricing and collect patient payments directly through your own payment processor. Karpa also includes built-in telehealth video conferencing and calendar scheduling.
What medications does Karpa support?
Karpa supports GLP-1 weight loss medications (compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide), testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), hormone replacement therapy (BHRT, estrogen, progesterone), hair loss treatments (finasteride, minoxidil), sexual health programs, and compounded skin care. Peptide therapy programs (BPC-157, CJC/Ipamorelin, GHK-Cu, and others) are built into the platform and will be available for prescribing through Karpa's 50-state network once the FDA formally publishes the Category 1 reclassification expected from the February 2026 HHS announcement.
Is Karpa a white-label platform?
Yes. All patient-facing touchpoints (intake forms, communications, and the patient portal) run under your brand. Patients never see Karpa branding.
How long does it take to go live?
Most clinics go live in under two weeks. Our onboarding team handles the technical setup, pharmacy integrations, provider network assignment, and intake form configuration.

Clinical & Compliance

Is Karpa HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Karpa is fully HIPAA compliant. All patient data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we follow healthcare data security best practices across every layer of the platform.
Does the physician maintain clinical authority?
Yes. Every prescription is reviewed and approved by a licensed physician. Karpa's 50-state provider network handles all clinical decisions. If you are a licensed provider, you can prescribe directly. Either way, clinical authority is always in the hands of a licensed physician.
What does the AI clinical review do?
The AI screens each patient's intake for contraindications, verifies eligibility, and prepares a clinical summary with relevant medical history highlighted. It saves providers hours of manual chart review while ensuring nothing is missed.

Integrations & Pharmacy

What compounding pharmacies does Karpa integrate with?
Karpa integrates with Empower Pharmacy, Strive Pharmacy, BoomRx, Olympia Pharmacy, and Belmar Pharma Solutions. We are continuously adding new pharmacy partners.
Can I use my existing compounding pharmacy?
If your preferred pharmacy is not yet integrated, Karpa supports manual prescription workflows while we work to add new partners. Contact us to request a specific pharmacy integration. We prioritize additions based on provider demand.
Does Karpa integrate with EHR systems?
Yes. Karpa includes its own built-in EHR and also integrates with systems like PatientNow for practices that already have an EHR in place. Patient data stays in sync between both systems.
Does Karpa include telehealth video conferencing?
Yes. Karpa has built-in telehealth video conferencing so you can conduct patient consultations, follow-ups, and check-ins directly through the platform. No need for a separate video tool.
Does Karpa offer calendar scheduling?
Yes. Karpa includes integrated calendar scheduling so patients can book appointments, consultations, and follow-ups online. Everything syncs with your workflow inside the platform.

Peptide Therapy & Regulations

When will Karpa support peptide programs like BPC-157?
BPC-157, CJC/Ipamorelin, GHK-Cu, Thymosin Alpha-1, TB-500, and several other peptides are currently classified as Category 2 bulk drug substances, meaning they are not yet eligible for compounding. In February 2026, HHS Secretary RFK Jr. announced that approximately 14 of these peptides are expected to move back to Category 1. The formal FDA rule change is still pending publication. Karpa's platform, pharmacy integrations, and 50-state provider network are fully built to support peptide programs on day one once the rule is finalized. You do not need a medical license to operate a program through Karpa.
